Think of the last time you were on the training, let’s say sales training, are you involved in the decision making process?
How long did the sales training take or was it just an ‘as-is’ training?

There are millions of sales training programs in the market today. Most are traditional sales training programs and can run from one to five days. However, do you really think they are effective?
When I was in sales I used to attend many one or two day traditional sales training programs. They never took my sales needs into consideration, let alone sales management needs or objectives. They were not customized and were just “off the shelf” sales programs during normal business hours. Do you think this form of sales training was effective?
Sales training like this may have been effective for the short term, allowing for some external motivation, but in reality it was a waste of money. Why? There are number of reasons. Firstly, the behaviour of sales professional cannot be changed overnight, or in one, two or three days. It has to be an ongoing process, with additional sales management training so that the sales manager demonstrates the appropriate behavior – “monkey see, monkey do.”
Customized sales management training knowledge helps build self-confidence. Participants will learn everything from customizing products, trends, and behaviors, and that they will learn to easily adjust or be flexible which factors to succeed in selling.
Lastly, conducting a sales training in-house is applicable. One session should be before the business hours and the other session should be right after the first session ends. This system may quite accept in the industry wherein workforce is needed to meet the customers’ needs anytime of the day.
To succeed in sales today, you must do the opposite of selling. You must learn how to attract, engage and empower buyers to buy.
